Preventative Veterinary Services

One of the easiest and least extensive ways to keep your pet healthy is bringing them in for preventive veterinary care including regular exams and vaccinations. Wellness visits allow our Veterinarians to diagnose and treat conditions in a timely manner.

Wellness for Puppies

Our puppy wellness schedule is designed to get your puppy started on the right path to a long and healthy life. The first few months are critical in ensuring your pet receives a full series of vaccines, if they do not they can be very susceptible to preventable diseases. We make sure that your pet is vaccinated for Rabies, Distemper, and Parvovirus among other diseases. We recommend testing/treating your new dog for intestinal parasites which are commonly found in young pets. We will get your new pet started on heartworm and flea prevention.

Wellness for Kittens

Our kitten wellness schedule is designed to get your kitten started on the right path to a long and healthy life. The first few months are critical in ensuring your pet receives a full series of vaccines, if they do not they can be very susceptible to preventable diseases. We make sure that your pet is vaccinated for Rabies, Feline Calcivirus, Leukemia, Panleukopenia and Rhinotracheitis. We recommend testing your new kitten for FIV and Leukemia around 12 weeks of age. Also, your kitten will need to be tested/treated for intestinal parasites which are commonly found in young pets.

We know that adding a new pet to your family can be overwhelming but we are here to help answer any questions you may have regarding your new puppy/kitten's development.

Wellness for Adult Pets

Bringing your pet in for an annual diagnostic and wellness checkup can help reassure you that your dog or cat is healthy. Dogs and cats age far quicker than humans, so it is even more crucial for our companion animals to receive regular exams. In addition, the risks of arthritis, cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and kidney and liver problems all increase with age. During your pets wellness exam your pet will receive a physical assessment and we will also make sure your pet is up to date on annual vaccinations/preventatives. We will perform a diagnostic workup, which may include blood, fecal, and urine tests to check for parasites and underlying diseases.
